The centre was built in 1974 and was the District headquarters of Scouting in Battersea until the district was amalgamated with Wandsworth, Putney & Roehampton to form Wandsworth District in 2011.
Its primary purpose is for Scouting and for hire for local community use that aligns with our consitution
It is an independent institution bearing charitable status and managed by a board of voluntary trustees.
